
Development Service Overview
All program services depend on the availability of funding.

Program services are provided on a first come, first serve basis to applicants located within the Sacramento Metropolitan Area.
Limitations may apply on the maximum attendance, and frequency or number of development workshops held each year.

As each individual's situation may vary, the recommended number of sessions may vary with each applicant.
HERB does not guarantee an applicant's success in any area.
Financial Literacy
Online workshop and one-on-one sessions providing financial tips on money management and facilitating attendee's creation of a household budget and savings plan.
Personal Goal Development
Online workshop and one-on-one sessions providing an overview of goal planning and facilitating attendee's creation of their personal vision and goals.
Career Planning
One-on-one online session(s) reviewing applicant's personal goals and experience, and supporting in attendee's development of their
resume and career goals, and mock interview facilitation.
Development Program Eligibility Overview
Submission of a program application is required to request services. Some services may require proof of eligibility by supplying requested documentation to confirm eligibility.
The minimum eligibility requirements for applicants are based on meeting one or more of the following criteria:
Age
Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.
Foster Youth
Current or former documented foster youth.
Enrolled in School
Enrolled in high school, or at least part-time, in an accredited college or trade school.
Recent Incarceration
Recent release from incarceration from a juvenile center
or county jail.
Income
All earned income is from government assisted services or minimum wage employment; the individual's or family income is at or below 250% of the FPL; or the household expense ratio is exceeded.
Computer & Internet
Access to a computer and
internet or Wi-Fi service to
attend online sessions and
complete assignments.
