
Youth Activities Service Overview
All program services depend on the availability of funding.
Program services are provided on a first come, first serve basis to applicants located within the Sacramento Metropolitan Area.

Limitations may apply to the amount of financial assistance allowed for each service and the number of times the same service can be requested.
Registration Fees
Financial assistance for enrollment or registration in an established sports, camp, league, or STEM program, with payments made directly to the facility or league that administers the program.
Uniforms
Financial assistance in the purchase of uniforms required to participate in an established sport's program, with payment made directly to the facility or league that administers the program.
Lessons
Financial assistance to pay for music, dance, swimming, or other youth lessons; with payments made directly to the facility that administers the lessons.
Youth Activities Program Eligibility Overview
Submission of a program application is required to request services. Some services may require proof of eligibility
by supplying requested documentation .
The minimum eligibility requirements for applicants are based on meeting two or more of the following criteria:
Age
Youth must be between 6 and 18 years of age.
Foster Youth or Incarceration
Current or former documented foster youth or recent incarceration in a youth detention facility.
Enrolled in School
Youth is enrolled in a public or charter school; elementary, junior high or high school.
Reliable Transportation
Reliable transportation to get to and from games, lessons or facilities where programs are held.
Income
All earned income is from government assisted services or minimum wage employment; the individual's or family income is at or below 250% of the FPL; or the household expense ratio is exceeded.
Attendance
Agreement to allow HERB to follow-up or confirm attendance or completion of the program or lessons, with the coach, league or facility that administers the program or lessons.
